Raceland (4-1) travels to Louisa, KY to visit a (5-0) Bulldog team that is coming off a 42-10 victory over East Carter. Raceland comes in with a hard fought 48-32 win over a good Colgrove team. Last year, the highest scoring 3A offense went into Ram Stadium and stole a game from the Rams, 38-35. Lawrence County hasn't played any real threats up to this point while Raceland is six points away from being 5-0. Who wins and why?

It"ll be a close one, Lawrence appears to be pretty solid again this year. Does Raceland still have a pretty good kicker, I know they always seem to. I could see this one coming down to a field goal or overtime. I like Raceland in this one but will be surprised if its not a one possession game either way, Lawrence is a tough place to play.

Should be a good one!

I think you're right! Should be some crooked numbers up on the scoreboard after this one. Offensive game for sure. I am gonna have to go with my Rams in this game, of course, when don't I? :thumb:

I could go on and on about the great games that have been played between these two proud programs / traditions through the years. I am talking since the early / mid 70's when I was in school to the present. Coaches Larry Heck vs. L. Varney / Bill Tom Ross / Bill Goldsmith to Randy Vanderhoof and T.J. Maynard at Raceland. The Rams / Bulldog series, rivaly through the years has been played with Respect between the two programs. I cannot remember a lot if any "cheap / dirty" play by either team, TWO Constants that Every Rams-Dawgs games had was both played with pride, desire and EVERY game has been extremely physical / Hard Hitting contest. We should name this series the "Slobberknocker Bowl"..

I don't have any reason to believe that this one will be any different. Bulldogs unbeaten - Rams 4-1 and should be, was short one possession from completing a huge 4th qtr comeback vs. Ashland. Rams were down 3td's after 3 qtr's, mounted and had the ball in Ashland's territory driving with a chance to win when the clock ran out.

Oh well, I apologize for "rambling on" :D- I just love h.s. football and both Raceland and Lawrence play the game the right way....intensity with pride.

I will have to stay with the Rams though........A Good Ol' Fashion Barn Burner / Snot Knocker.....get the whirlpools ready for both after this one.

Monday practice RAMS ...... A team will play like they practice. This one will be another strong test, Coach Salmons and staff will have a good game plan to put in place. Get your mind right ! Go into this one prepared and ready to play and the outcome will take care of itself.

"Do Your Job" !
