Who wins and why?

I'll take Anderson County in this one but I do think Mercer County is turning the corner and becoming more solid each week. Still a ways to go and I am not convinced they can compete in the district but despite their loss last week it is another step in the right direction. I think this will be a pretty decent game.

Anderson Co showed last weekend that they can hang and be as tough as a good Boyle Co team. Which shows me that they have enough horses to win big this game. Bearcats 35-7

I think Anderson is too tough for Mercer offensively. Anderson 41 - 21.

I have to agree that Anderson Co. takes this one.

 

Mercer has a big threat in Layne Peavler with his speed. Luckily, Anderson Co. has a player that can match his speed in Ryan Martin.

 

I think Anderson Co. defense gets back on track this week.

Since half the posters on this thread are BC fans and all picking Anderson I will go against the grain and take mercer by 3 since they are just now getting healthy for the 1st time this year.

Not a fan of either team. I just watch game film. And from the films that I watch, Anderson is better. I have seen Mercer Co on tape, at WKU this seaon and last and on the last 4 season. Hope they get healthy in time for their district and hope they make noise again like they did vs Boyle Co last year's playoff.

Actually, they have had a couple more losses. I know Doron Bartleson is out with a knee injury. He's a huge impact at Defensive end, not sure if he will be back this year. Kobe Ford is out with an injury, probably out a few more games. Drew Davis, who knows when he'll be back. Chase Moore I think is out for the season. I may be missing a couple.

Dang, those are new names that I am hearing about other than Drew. This has been an unlucky year for Mercer County.

Injuries are part of sports but they seem to have an unusually high amount. Blevins is back but not at 100%. Peavler is back but still not at 100%. Lorenzo Smith is back and I think he's fully healthy.

Chase Moore missed the first 2 games and came back against west Jess and had 2 catches for TD'S and over 100 yards receiving. I was at that game, he added a lot to the offense and was a nice dual threat at receiver with peavler. I heard he had a pretty bad injury at Central Hardin. They another receiver to step up and make some plays to take the pressure off peavler and I think Treyvon Faulkner could be that guy.
