September 10, 201412 yr Haha! I just don't like the idea of people I don't know getting familiar with my house or neighborhood. Never meet at your house, go to a store parking lot. If you are meeting someone to sell your car take everything out of your car and glove box, including registration and insurance card, put them in you wallet.
September 10, 201412 yr Craigslist is the worst website I have ever tried to use. But others use it successfully so I must be missing something. Personally, I would use autotrader and get the car online that way.
September 10, 201412 yr I have bought 3 cars on Craigslist and it's worked like a charm every time. However, I've been lucky to sell 3 by parking them in the lot behind Donato's in Bellevue.

Personally, I would use autotrader and get the car online that way. Costs money for auto-trader, if you use the search feature it makes it easy to find what you are looking for.
September 10, 201412 yr I've sold and bought via Craigslist with relative ease. You will get a few crackpots wanting the car for nothing or someone agreeing to the asking price if you'll give them your bank information. Eventually, you'll find someone that is interested and will buy. I also subscribe to the 'park the car at Kroger' philosophy and do all my showings there. Can't beat a public place for those types of things.
