What is the best way to sell a used auto?

Used to be you put an ad in the paper but with all the new technology I am sure there must be a better way. Ideas?

Craigslist is great, I like to search on there going to multiple cities to find what I am looking for. Example, it took me awhile but I finally found a 1988 Toyota 4runner, had to go to Colimbus, Oh to get it but it was worth it because most other sites are full of dealers, this way I can deal with the owners.

I would have to agree with Craigslist. However, I would park the car at the top of Krogers with a sign. I would meet anybody from Craigslist at Krogers too, not at my house.

Some big companies have "internal Craiglists" - buy/sell lists open to their employees only - so for example if you have a buddy that works for P&G get them to post it for you. Less chance of running into the rapists that way.

 

If it were me I would probably also mention it on my Facebook.

Also, I suggest setting up a separate email to use. You will also get bogus emails showing interest. Most are easy to spot but be on your toes.
