35 to 0 at halftime. 48 to 6.

Sounds about right, hearing SK is the real deal again, best of luck to both teams on Friday night, but think SK wins big. #45, #67, and #12 are very good football players.

Actually, Cooper and Connor are 6A next year and Bullit Central is 5A. So 7 out of 10 schools are big schools. Collins is defending 4A champs and NCC, most years. is very competitive with larger schools. HC is really the only bad date. The preference for local opponents is financially motivated as the school district does not finance travel. HHS and Cov Cath will both be on the schedule when the new cycle begins next year.

Better save this comment....we're going to need it several hundred times this season.

SK 51 NewCath 12

It will be a good night for SK to practice some plays to get ready to crush Cooper next week! :D

They'll kill em.

Do you for some reason think NCC is going to go in this game defeated and lay down for your precious Pioneers? If that's the case my friend you should probably re think that. I'm not saying NCC will win this game but don't be surprised if the point margin is a little closer than what you anticipate. For some reason you have this notion in your head that SK can't be beat when in reality if they are so good they don't have to travel south they can travel across the bridge like Cov Cath did and play a team like Moeller. You my friend are the main reason 98% of the people on here don't like SK because you build them up to be a powerhouse when in reality all they are is a 6A NKY powerhouse that will again most likely find a way to lose to a team their size come playoff time.

Who all is going to the game? I will be there right around kickoff.

I hope that NewCath keeps improving along the line. This is the best competition that they will face all season until the 2A Finals, so they need to take it as an opportunity to get better. Stay healthy, and let the Pioneers know that they were in a scrap.

Unfortunately, we have all typed similar messages over the years. It is what it is!

But you're right...each week we all become fans of teams we do not typically support.

Week by week, I say "Let's go (insert each team for each week here)!

Sep 12, 14 Newport Central Catholic

Sep 19, 14 Cooper

Sep 26, 14 Ryle

Oct 3, 14 Campbell County

Oct 10, 14 Boone County

Oct 17, 14 Dixie Heights

Oct 24, 14 Bullitt Central

And I know UKFan, each week I go home disappointed because your Pioneers took care of business!!! But it doesn't stop me from looking forward to the next week...and then come the playoffs!!! (where I always taste sweet victory!)

Just having fun "other" Pioneers fans.

NCC will be a little more prepared for this than people think. Neff back at tackle along with 2 starters from last year should greatly improve the oline. Soph Qb has had another week to prepare, as well as, a skill player back who didn't play against Campbell.

If anyone wants to say hi let me know. I will be sure to see my friends lawnboy and ukfan. Anyone else.....

I haven't talked to Lawnboy in a while.

Likewise, look forward to finally meeting you.

I follow NCC a little and was wondering if you could tell us what the line changes are that they have made. Who is the skill player that did not play against Campbell? What happened to Anderson at QB?
