Family Reacts To Teenager Revealing He Is Gay

Featured Replies

But Clyde, people make the choice to be gay because it's so cool and hip.

Wait a minute, the second thing she says is "I have known you were gay since you were a little boy", yet she still thinks it's a choice? Second, where did God say "I did not create gay people"? And who was the one who said "I have a lot of friends that are gay, but they aren't related to me"? Isn't that being a bit, Hmmm, what is the word I'm looking for here?

Lastly, I hope he had her arrested and follows through. Hmmm, sometimes I'm ashamed of so-called Christians. What do they think that God, and Jesus has to say about their actions. Sad!

(Sportsguy, remember do not read the trash that trash post on comment sections). Why Oh Why do not listen to myself? If you want to see the decline of the human race and what is really wrong with the world, just read comment sections!

Good for the kid! He figured out that his family is not what he thought, they never really loved him. Now he can go out and find people that care for him and love him for who he is! Glad to see that he raised almost $94,000.00, in ONLY 4 days! And only wanted to raise $2,000.00? WOW! He is better off from every side now.

I don't plan on watching the video. Maybe I am the only one who believes that the "kid" got exactly the reaction that he wanted. I despise able-bodied panhandlers. Is there some reason that this man is incapable of supporting himself?

One needs to watch a video before they make comments about getting the "action he wanted". Perhaps he just knew it was going to be bad? Doesn't matter if it's a kid or an adult, when your family and friends only like or love you for who they want you to be Vs who you are, mite time to move on, the kid is better off without these people.

This 19 year old man deliberately shot footage of a family situation that he must have known would turn ugly, posted the video to gain sympathy, and then asked for charity instead of getting a job to support himself (which he should have already secured at 19). He obviously knew his parents well enough to suspect that he might be sent packing when before he came out.

What did I miss by not watching the video? He sounds like a lazy, self centered brat. It sounds like his parents are no prizes either,.

Many people deliberately shoot video of things that think may turn bad. Perhaps he posted the video to show how hateful his family is? To show people that people who claim they love you actually don't when they realize who you really are?

So, he should live with his family who hated who who is? And it's a tough world out there and not everyone can leave their house the day they turn 18. Just because he is 19 doesn't mean he should automatically move out.

How can people judge others when they do not even know them? Lazy? Self centered brat?

I agree his parents are no prize!

But they focus should be on the outrageous actions and violence by the parents.

BTW, his friends suggested after they saw the video that he create a GoFundMe page to help him just a little to help. He only asked for 2k and now has over 94k. He is keeping only a part of it and donating the rest to charity, and he has asked that no one else donate but to help he organization who is helping him. Sounds like a lot more people are sympathetic towards him and see that he did nothing wrong.

I have my lapel cam on every night at work, I turn it on when I think I may need it. There is nothing wrong with this kid recording this event, he felt the need to tell his dad who he really is, and felt that it may go bad, which it did. If I were him I'd file charges, he has all the evidence needed.

Everything that you say may be true, I just don't believe that it is. You should consider the possibility that this guy is not telling the truth and that his objective from the get-go was to make a video that would go viral and then cash in.

I have no issue with the truly needy who have suffered personal disasters asking for and receiving charity but this guy sounds like a real deadbeat.

Not liking the money grubbing part of it.

Really a shame. The worst part is is that you never see the thousands of gays who "come out" with no backlash, and because of this Christians (especially Catholics) are labeled as homophobes, despite there being no belief/dogma/etc that says there is something wrong with being gay.

I may Film me saying I'm gay and have my family act mad so I can get some free money too.

But Clyde, people make the choice to be gay because it's so cool and hip.

So, what do you think his motives were making this video?

Sounds like you may need to look for a different job if you are concerned for your safety and no "24 hour" camera monitoring is installed, or are you just hoping to trap someone?

I have absolutely no idea.
