Your putting words in my mouth, never said Cooper was that bad. 2-0 is a great start, and if they win no excuses from me. IMO after watching these teams play I feel Boone will win. That's all nothing more. He'll my close friends son is the QB for Cooper that's why I've been at the games. Best of luck to both teams and may the better team win.

I have been a huge Lamb fan and still think he is the best QB I've seen in person this year so far and that includes QB's from CCH, Dixie, Ryle, Cooper, NCC. Lamb's issue is he doesn't have the players around him like some of the other teams.

He actually claimed Ryle was bad, not Cooper. And I can't say he isn't right about that. Cooper is #5 in the polls right now and Boone isn't top 10. For you to say it's a "miracle" is a unreal stretch. Boone is trying to win back to back games for the first time in I don't know how long. With the talk around town, people are saying Cooper should win comfortably by 3 touchdowns. I will also agree with that. However, I believe Lamb will be the best player on the field. Good luck to both and I wish you all an injury free game.

Yes, Boone's QB is the reason they are looking good. That was not Floyd's fault last year. He was playing out of position due to the injury to Lamb. This year he will get to play in his natural position DB. At least that's where I think they will use him. Don't know if he will play this week. I can only hope.

 

Anybody know how good Cooper's D-line is? Boone has some young'ins playing on the O-Line, though they did pretty well against Conner. This could be a key match up in this game. If Cooper D-line dominates then it will be a long night for Lamb, Marshall, and Diaw. But I am ready for a new streak to start in Boone County. Right now we're at one-in-a-row. :sssh: I'll be watchin'. :popcorn:

I believe the defense will progress faster than the offense to be honest.

So if Boone beats Cooper can we put them in the discussion then? Probably not will just hear some more excuses. .

 

Easy. All I said is that beating Conner doesn't answer the question of how good Boone is or can be.

 

We need to let 4 or 5 weeks go by to get a good read. Even beating Cooper doesn't tell us a lot YET. No clue how good or bad NCC is so Cooper, like many teams, are still in the TBD position.

Hellbird, It is funny to hear you talk about Lamb not having players around him.

Lamb has a better team around him than Floyd had last season and Floyd never played QB before and got no respect from you. So are you saying if Lamb had went to (transfer) , lets say Cov Cath, with maybe better players than Boone, Would his talents show out better?:

Yes.

 

I think he has some good talent around him, but not as good as CCH for instance. I did not see their game last week, but did see them against CCH and felt Boone was great with the short to intermediate routes, but when Lamb went long he had no WR that could catch the ball.

 

His very first deep ball was perfect and went right thru his recievers hands. His second bounced off his other recievers hands. By then they were way behind and you could tell he was pressing which led to some bad balls.

 

Lamb's best attribute in my opinion is he checks down his progression instead of staring down his receiver. He also has a really nice arm.

I personally wish Boone would use their TE#84 in their offense more. I know he is coming off an ankle injury so that has probably slowed him down, but he has really nice hands.

 

As far as Floyd,I didn't disrespect him last year. Show me where I did last year. It wasn't his fault he played out of position

You are correct. So if this is true I wonder if the coach decided he sits out until district play begins.
