Who wins, why?

I'm not making a prediction, but will say this is the best game of the week in NKY IMO. This will be a huge test for both teams. Is Boone Co. As good as I think they are? I saw something in that CCH game in the 1st qtr that eold me I thought they would get their first win the following week and they did. I really like the offense BC can run and think they will be more than a thorn in the side of better teams throughout the season in their district.

 

Cooper hasn't allowed a TD yet this season but hasn't been tests yet the way they will be this Friday in Union. These two teams always play close over the recent matchups. 2 years ago on Coopers state title game run they were putting a lot of points up over their opponents they beat except for one team and that was BC. They only put up 10 in their win. The 2 losses they had that year, Coner and BG in the state title game Cooper was able to put up more points than they were against Boone Co. That year.

 

So BC has always played great defense against the jags and they get A Floyd back for this game so that can only improve their secondary which was the weak link in the CCH game.

 

Cant make a prediction and I wish I could be on the sidelines doing chains this week but I will be out of town to watch my sons first college game (he's made the starting lineup, so papa is pretty excited and proud) but although I will be in NY Friday night, I will be following along the update thread and rooting my Jags on!

I'm predicting a game more like Ryle v Cooper than either game the Rebels have had thus far. And definitely not like New Cath v Cooper. I hope the Jags come out on top of this slugfest, and they can if the offense spreads it out again. Much improved from Week 1 to Week 2 in that aspect of the game.

Ryle fans should be happy the field

was wet when they played Cooper because if it was dry Cooper probably would of hung 50 on the Raiders

If you even remotely watched both Cooper games, the offense stayed the same. They threw the ball the same amount of plays. They ran basically (if not exactly) the same plays. They aren't a fancy offense but they're winning. Keep playing hard Jags!

In the Ryle game, it felt like Cooper ran the ball because it was the only option. In NewCath, it was more like they were comfortably in control and trying to eat clock a good deal of the time. There were 6 guys w/rushing yards, according to the team stats, instead of 2. They looked at different - and capable - receivers like Willging and pulled Cordell-Armstrong off kick returns for a breather.

 

I stand by my statement. The offense was much improved from week one (10 points) vs. week two (31 points). I didn't see any fresh feet in the 4th quarter of the Ryle game. There were second stringers on both sides of the ball against NewCath before it was "officially" over.

 

Calm down, dude....we're rooting for the same team.

The biggest difference I felt was execution. Too many little. Intakes in the Ryle game offensively compared to the NCC game.

Hoping for a great game, Cooper looked a lot better this past week. Calling Cooper wins by 2 TDs.

This game is about as even as they get tough one to pick. Boone will probably win.
