Saw highlights of the Purples game with Lex Cath., he will definately give the Tiger O major fits.

I think the biggest challenge St. X will face in this game is their mental approach. Will they be able to withstand some adversity? Will they be able to embrace early success? In the past few years, I would say no, only because the track record has proven so.... This being a new season, new staff etc., it will be interesting to see if these types of lessons are addressed and corrected. If so, no reason why X can't come away with a W. No disrespect to Bowling Green, but not many teams beat the Tigers 4 years in a row... Should be a great one! Good Luck to both teams!!!

This statement is going to be earth shattering, QB will determine the winner. In 2011 Scooter Hollis made a few more plays than Mattingly which allowed the Purples to capitalize and win the game. In 2012 Gahafer was playing very well in the first half then is injured and doesn't return for the second half. Devin Hayes gathered himself and stepped up in the second half to come back from a half time deficit. Last year it was all Hayes and the Purples rolled.

 

Whatever QB plays the best will lead their team to victory.

I just keep thinking about this game...

 

It will be interesting to see how BG responses if X takes an early lead. BG has been a very experienced team the last few years, which helped them last year in pulling out victories over McCallie, Blackman, and John Hardin. But what about this group? Will they have the same resolve with new starters, and a majority of them playing in their most intense game to date?

 

Can't wait and glad to see both teams have agreed to play another 2 years!
