Rank The Top 10 Teams In The 11th & 12th

Featured Replies

For my man PP92. Last year we had some great debates on which was the better region. Here's one that should be fun. Regardless of region, rank the 10 best teams in the 11th and 12th in the 2014-2015 season.

Lots of parity here too. I think Boyle County gets a huge boost with the addition of Bell.

1. Henry Clay

2. Lafayette

3. Scott County

4. Dunbar

5. Boyle County

6. Mercer County

7. Wayne County

8. Lincoln County

9. Lexington Catholic

10. Lexington Christian

11. Southwestern (biggest unknown)

12. West Jessamine

13. Madison Central

14. Bryan Station

There's no way Lafayette is No. 2, IMO.

Big cluster in the top 5-7 teams. I think Lafayette comes together without Davis and has a better year than people are expecting. Dunbar could be a surprise team. People in the area will be familiar with them, but the rest of the state may get familiar with them as well. Darius Williams can play.

I don't think their problem was Davis.

Henry clay , Lafayette and Scott co 1-2-3 in 11th. Dunbar 4? Wow.Especially lafayette.. Putting catholic at 9 must be a misprint. My guess is your basing this ranking on the AAU circuit. Might want to check last years results and who is returning for these teams. Wayne co has to be 1st in 12th until someone proves otherwise. Also, id be hesitant to rely on all these transfers. More often than not these things don't work out! Not enough balls on court for a couple of these teams.

I don't know enough about the 11th at this current time.

I don't see Dunbar ranked above Boyle, Wayne or Lincoln or Lafayette being ranked #2 in that group.

Truthfully, other than not knowing much about Dunbar, I think you could make an argument for any of the teams 1-9 being just as good as the others.

I know more about the 12th and it wouldn't surprise me if Wayne, Boyle or Mercer - possibly Lincoln - wins it this year. I'm still picking Wayne because they are just winners. I can't justify placing Boyle or Mercer ahead of them. But, on paper, both of those teams are at least as talented as Wayne. However, with an important new player each (and a new coach for one), we've yet to see how that all plays out. We already know it works for Wayne; they're proven.

I think people are really underestimating Dunbar.

Darius Williams might be the best player in the 11th. Hollingsworth and Brown can play. They return a lot of kids. They'll surprise people if everyone is underestimating them. They finished last year strong and had a pretty good summer.

Terrible, Lexington Catholic 9? Lafayette 2? Catholic was 3-1 vs them last year and have much stronger team coming back. You predicted Lafayette to win region last year, lost 1st round, time for you to let someone else evaluate the 11th

And Lexington Catholic lost first round as well. I think in the end of the year rankings, I was pretty consistent in having Scott County at #1, and they were my pick to win the region.

Be my guest to evaluate the 11th, that's what the site is all about. Not a lot of separation between any of the top 10 teams in this one, like I'd said.

Lexington Catholic is where they are because they lost Dence and Letton, plus there's no guarantee that Reese Ryan plays. Add in a possible injury from football or a kid who doesn't come out and it could be tough sledding.

Don't want to evaluate it but you are way off, losing Dence and Letton worse than Lafayette losing Davis? Ryan will play. Do your research, you also posted that Michael Talbott graduated last year......which was wrong

Yea... I know. One mistake that I corrected because I had him as a senior on the roster.

I've done my research and keep up with things.

I've also heard that part of Lafayette's chemistry problem last year was Davis. We're talking about a kid who cheered when he became the school's all time leading scorer despite them being down bad in the game. There was a thread on that. Maybe I think they come together without him and don't just hear that they lost a Mr. Basketball candidate and assume they'll be awful.

You don't want to provide rankings put want to criticize mine, then that's fine, but don't accuse me of not doing my research if you want to nitpick on me making one fact-checking error when I wrote over 50 pages on the 11th last season when you don't even want to put your own list out.

Still a long way to go before the start of the season. Lexington Catholic and Scott County were where they are in the rankings because I felt there were questions about their roster, what they'd end up with in terms of who came out, and how well the teams would gel.
