It's out that Dow is currently ineligible. Gover and Adeyemo are eligible. Bell is eligible. No official word on DJ White.

Cool. Thanks.

Transferring is out of control in Kentucky. Time to change the policy somehow or just rule them all ineligible.

Agree Coach Q! You get 'em.

By the way, could you tell us how you expect Scott County's 3 transfers will do this season? You should be familiar with them because all 3 played with Hoop Dreams some this past summer, didn't they?

3? Sorry but Scott County has 7 transfers this season so far.

I don't expect all 3 to get eligible. And while I appreciate your insinuation, neither myself nor anyone with Hoop Dreams had anything to do with them transferring. As multiple people have said on here, kids spend a lot of time together on the road with AAU and enjoy playing together.

A likely story. If nothing else, I'd still stop putting other transfers on blast. Maybe they spent a lot of time together on the road and enjoyed playing together too.

Who has he put on blast? I don't recall anyone being singled out by him. I think anyone is allowed to make a general statement about transfers.

Things ain't looking too good at Cordia, huh?

Re-read this thread and get back to me on whether or not he's put anyone on blast.

Things aren't looking too good for a lot of teams, so at least things are becoming more consistent.

Ahhhh, DJ White. Why is it no one else has spoke on DJ White and his situation? Blows my mind how people want to insinuate and talk about kids going to certain schools but totally gloss over and skip the same situations that happen at other schools. I guess having an agenda against Hoop Dreams is all that matters when discussing transfers for some people.

Dj just situation has been handled his coach was granted limited guardianship. His khsaa paperwork was sent this past Friday so they await decision but judge has signed off and a legal move. If you knew the kid and knew the relationship with his coach I don't believe you would comment on anything. Dj and coach stallworth have been close for some time now. Djs mother has had situation that has happen to which I will not discuss on a public forum. He is a great kid but coming from a hard situation. I hope all kids are deemed eligible because only know half of any situation and no one knows what these kids come from or the challenges they've had before transferring. I believe ultimately they transfer to better themselves and no one transfers to hurt themselves so I say let them all play. In the end it's about the kids so why punish them for trying to make a better situation for them.

I agree wholeheartedly. I hope all of the kids are eligible to play. It drives me nuts when people pick and choose what situations they want to talk about. It's always agenda driven when more times than not a large majority of the people have no clue what they are talking about when it comes to the specifics as to why a kid transferred and was or wasn't ruled eligible.

I would like to see a change in KHSAA policy. I wish they would allow every student athlete one transfer in their academic career. Anything beyond the first transfer should be ruled ineligible for a scholastic year. But that should be appealable because some kids make legitimate moves or have a parent relocated for work, etc.

I do, however think out of state and international transfers should be closely scrutinized. Some schools just go and find out of state kids because they know they will be eligible because it will obviously be a move. If someone wanted to build a team, they could just get all out of state kids, have at least one parent move into the district, and be immediately eligible. If Cordia had moved a parent with all of their players last year, everything would have been legal according to current KHSAA standards.
