The ball is from the bullpen.

Whattttttt

I'll bet the replay rule doesn't cover that contingency.

That's probably the most bizarre play I've ever seen.

I'm saying intentional lol

That changed the whole complexion of the inning.

Not quite as helpful as the blocking the plate call in Miami on a runner out by 10 feet....but close.

Like playing two balls in a pinball game.

That's probably the most bizarre play I've ever seen.

Cleveland lined one to RF which went over Bruce's head and hit the base of the wall. While Bruce was fielding the ball off of the wall, a ball came flying in from the Reds bullpen (behind the RF wall).

Bruce threw the ball into the cut off man, who then tossed it in to 2nd base where the hitter was safe. Cleveland's Murphy went from 1st to 3rd on the hit, then wandered off of 3rd base. Cozart alertly threw it to 3rd, where Murphy was tagged out.

As it turns out, the mystery ball that flew onto the field came from the Cincinnati bullpen. A pitcher is warming up and threw it high to the catcher, who jumped up and tipped the ball with his mitt...and ultimately onto the field.

Well played. :lol::lol::lol:

I was at a game at Riverfront sitting just beyond the end of the dugout a few rows off the field down the right field line.

Dibble warming up in the bullpen. A pitch totally got away from him and skipped off the top of the dugout. Nobody was even looking at Dibble. If it had hit someone it might have killed them.

Bizarre play everywhere else on earth but in Cleveland...Just another day at the ballpark.

I just called Bruce's HR at home.

"This is exactly the type of situation where Bruce goes deep." BANG, gone.

If the Reds score another couple of runs, Votto may even hit one.

If you missed the bizarre ball from the bullpen, guy picked off 3rd with the real ball play, tune in to Olbermann, Sportscenter, SportsNation, PTI, Around the Horn, the local news, RFD, Public Access Community Calendar, your electric toothbrush...it is going to be played a lot.
