The investigators also are looking into the rehiring of Musick by the board after it had accepted his resignation early this year, according to the source.

 

The Kentucky Department of Education’s legal counsel already has told the district rescinding Musick’s resignation is illegal, but the board has not taken any further action on the issue.

 

Also at issue are financial irregularities including in-school fundraisers for which proceeds are not accounted for, and lack of documentation for the sale of some school property declared surplus, the source said.

 

Sounds like the 'can of worms' may have been opened, if this source is credible. Not that it would surprise me. If any of this is true, the khsaa needs to impose heavier sanctions than they did during the last incident.

Maybe they would have, but all they had to hang their hat on at the time (right before football playoffs, I think; and they wanted to do SOMETHING right then and there) was the ineligible player. Maybe it's taken a few months for them to get their ducks in a row.

Apparently, according to the article, the Superintendent doesn't even know what this investigation is about. Do you?

 

Some possibilities: Illegal re-hiring of Superintendent or collection of Kentucky ADA money for students that lived out-of-state but gave a Kentucky address.

 

Correct, all this tells me is that Athletics or not that Fairview H.S., it's superintendent, financial men, school board are back at it - possibly into illegal activities again.

I don't claim to know like Talon does but who is to say that the football program isn't involved in the financial aspects as well.

The financial officer mentioned is a huge supporter - $$ backer of the football program

The departed principal had been named in financial "dealings" with the football programs when at at least one, maybe another school that he coached and/or was employed in the past.

I had personally been told by a resident / parent of a child / former football player that they (Fview) got off Easy with just the one violation charged with - That there were so many others involving money, teachers, transportation - housing of some out/state football players. Also, "questionable" employment to some adults / parents within the school system.

Is any or all true ? I cannot personally say it is but I can absolutely attest to the character of - honesty of the person telling me.

As In All Situations....the Truth Will Eventually Come Out, if not now then later.....All that I have seen is where there is smoke, there is fire somewhere.

Didn't you say that claims of the all of the rumors / claims on the Fairview football program last year were false ? Should you had said that then you were proven wrong then. I admire your loyalty to Fairview, their coaches and school. I really do but you could be wrong on this.

Agreed but you know, however severe of a penalty that they may get slapped with -- they absolutely deserve it. Actually, I have no idea what the criteria is for or even if a "death penalty" ( ban on football for X number of yearsdype sanction exist in khsaa
