Because when he did interviews he hid his stupidty a lot better than Palin did while sitting on her porch watching the sunset over Russia.

You know her actual statement, not the SNL skit, was true?

Hopefully, you realize that it was Tina Fey's character that claimed she could see Russia from her front porch and not Palin. You do realize that, right?

I see your sense of humor checked out today. :lol2:

I am fully aware of Tina Fey's front porch joke and Sarah Palin saying you can see Russian land from Alaska. Geez, Mitch, lighten up dude. Life isn't that serious. :lol2:

Do we really need to pull out the YouTube videos that document Palin's intelligence?

When one has to separate parody from reality with a shoehorn, you've got a problem.

You know her actual statement, not the SNL skit, was true?

And you do know that being able to see Russia from Alaska was her answer to the question asking for her insight on Russian politics?

I know that there are parts of Alaska from which you can see Russian territory. Palin's answer may not have been the best response that she could have given, but Biden has said far worse and he is a proven liar to boot. If you wanted to make the case that either Biden or Obama are smarter than Palin, it would not be as simple as you seem to believe.

As for a sense of humor, I find it very amusing that people who claim that they could not vote for McCain because of his running mate still managed to vote for Obama twice, despite his selection of Biden as his running mate. The man is not very bright now and he has never been a smart man. Yet, he still talks about running for president in 2016. :lol2:

But that wasn't her entire answer either, just the part everyone fixated on after the SNL Spoof.

She basically said that she gave that example to show how small the world was and that relations with Russia, a very close neighbor were important. That mistakes from the past can't be repeated and that we can't get into another Cold War with Russia.

Which according to many in Russia we are back in...

"As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where -- where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border." --Sarah Palin, explaining why Alaska's proximity to Russia gives her foreign policy experience.

-- interview with CBS's Katie Couric, Sept. 24, 2008

All I said was Biden hid it better than Palin did at the time. One could make a great argument that Palin blew the election for McCain while others will make the argument that McCain blew the election by choosing Palin. Either way, take Palin out of the equation and add a quality running mate and who knows what may happen.

If I were Biden I'd talk about running for president also. If he and Obama could fool Americans twice surely they have to believe they can fool them again. I mean, we're still waiting for the republican party to stop their genocide and put out a quality candidate for 2016. If they dont do that then they'll probably lose again. :lol2:

Not her finest hour for sure :lol2:

Watching the interview now and it didn't come off the way you just said it did. Of course folks will say that editing is the reason behind that. :lol2:

You may believe that Biden hides his stupidity well but it has always been obvious to me. As for Palin, she was saddled with a horrible running mate herself. I voted for McCain as the lesser of two evils but I really, really hated to do it. McCain lost the election because he was a bad candidate who ran a terrible campaign.

There is really nothing funny about what has transpired under Obama these past 5 yearw, nor is there anything funny about a possible Biden presidency in 2016. Biden would provide plenty of fodder for stand-up comics but the laughs would come at a very high cost.

Here is the transcript, pretty much the way I described it...

GIBSON: What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last couple of weeks, does the proximity of the state give you?

PALIN: They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.

GIBSON: What insight does that give you into what they're doing in Georgia?

PALIN: Well, I'm giving you that perspective of how small our world is and how important it is that we work with our allies to keep good relation with all of these countries, especially Russia.

We cannot repeat the Cold War. We are thankful that, under Reagan, we won the Cold War, without a shot fired, also. We've learned lessons from that in our relationship with Russia, previously the Soviet Union. We will not repeat a Cold War. We must have good relationship with our allies, pressuring, also, helping us to remind Russia that it's in their benefit, also, a mutually beneficial relationship for us all to be getting along.

It doesn't matter, lefties think she is an idiot and righties think Biden is...nothing said on here is going to change anyone's opinion of eitherof them.

It's not that big a deal to me...

Again, it didn't play in the interview that way when I was listening to it and as I said editing will be the blame for that.

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong wrong....last I saw I called them both idiots. You guys are crying because I said she is more of an idiot than Biden. :lol2:
