Riverbend questions 2014

Featured Replies

Heading down to Riverbend either Sunday or Wednesday. Anything I need to know traffic-wise? Do you still have to turn right leaving the parking lot in order to avoid long traffic delays. I did talk to someone that was at Tim McGraw last night and they said they didn;t get out of the lot for an hour, so I would assume nothing has changed

Well with the Belterra racino now open traffic management has been better because people can't play slots if they are sitting in traffic. My advice would be to walk to the racino (its right there literally) after the concert and hit the Stadium Sports Bar.

Bumping this up to see if anyone has been to Riverbend this year for a concert and what their opinion is.

Be careful where you park somebody wrecked into my friends car down there after the Brad Paisley concert.

Not as concerned about parking as getting out of there before I go into work the next morning. Left Kenny Chesney with 4 songs to go and had no trouble last year, a shame you have to do that. Love the venue, way better than US Bank,GABP or Rupp

Unfortunately you're still going to want to leave any concert early unless you want to sit for a while. We had about a 45 min wait after McGraw but I never leabe him early.

You have to park strategically and be quick out of your seat.

Long strides help. Stretch 'em out.

Great advice twice.

Clyde is right about parking. I do like to see the end of a show. This can make things a bit more difficult.

CC is spot on. Walk with a purpose.

I was just happy to have a ride home from someone else that night haha!

Is the "we take ourselves far too seriously" rent-a-cop parking lot security there still as Nazi about people drinking in the lot? God how that always made me loathe the Riverbend experience.

Yes. No drinking in the main coney/riverbend lot. Tailgating seems to be allowed across the street though.

And yes the Coney bike security can be a little over the top at times.

Tailgated across the street for Tim McGraw. They will walk around and id everyone.

I'm pretty sure they are still the same in Coney Island's lot to the right of the park when looking at the main entrance.

Underage drinking in the lawn at country shows is a problem at the park. They either come in hammered already or get pass offs from of age drinkers to buy them drinks. There's also the few that have vodka soaked tampons placed.. well you know..
