What data does it collect...who you call, text, email? Does it have the ability to go into your phone for other data?

When there are completely open borders without enforcement the odds of a domestic attack are far greater than if we controlled borders and 'immigration' as other countries do.

 

But 100% following of the Constitution was gone years ago.

 

And thus, we are told we need a police state to 'protect' us.

They aren't using it to only stop us from being attacked.

We agree. I know this isn't new.

I just wish resources would go into border control and visa/illegal staying enforcement - and this not about poor people from Central America. Instead the focus is on domestic spying. It has definite feel of the Soviet Union and Stalin. And that sounds dramatic. But that is exactly the sentiment I have heard from people who lived in the former communist USSR. We on a very slippery slope right now.

Now that everything is digital in cell/mobile technology its not hard to intercept/hack/spoof anything. This is especially true of a government with unlimited access to technology and monies. But really almost any entity can acquire the technology. Spoofing a tower is not really that hard.

 

Everyone should be careful what they have on their cellphone - passwords to bank accounts, credit card information pre-stored, etc. Nothing is completely secure, its more a matter of hard someone wants the information or data or digital voice conversation.

Immigration has to be resolved. We have just as many illegals coming from Canada as we do Mexico. Both put a burden on infrastructure. Visas are handed out according to quotas for a reason. The Democrats will never push hard for it b/c it strengthens their voting base. Republicans have to be careful because they don't want to completely eliminate Latinos. Stinks.
