June 19, 201412 yr Seeing reports that Denver is putting a package together to trade for Kevin Love that includes Faried and Wilson Chandler among others. Edited June 19, 201412 yr by JokersWild24
June 19, 201412 yr I see Faried as a high motor guy with a developing offensive game. More of a rebounder. Love is a double double machine. If you need offense, this deal is a no brainer.
June 19, 201412 yr Denver working on a package of Faried, Wilson Chandler, and Aaron Affalo (from Orlando). Some type of 3 way deal?
June 19, 201412 yr Is this a real question? I love Faried. Enjoyed watching him in college and love his game. But I'd question anyone's basketball IQ if they chose him over Love, ever.

It's a package deal not one for one, Faried plus one or two more for Love. I love Faried's game would like to see him on a contender,
June 19, 201412 yr It's a package deal not one for one, Faried plus one or two more for Love. I love Faried's game would like to see him on a contender, I understand that. The title (and question) of this thread is Faried for Love. The other parts don't matter to me much.

June 19, 201412 yr I understand that. The title (and question) of this thread is Faried for Love. The other parts don't matter to me much. Yeah the other parts are what make it worthwhile though. Minnesota loves Kevin Love but Kevin Love doesn't love never making the playoffs. In order to become a playoff team, the Timberwolves require SEVERAL new pieces.

In order to become a playoff team, the Timberwolves require SEVERAL new pieces. Sure, and they want them now because he's on the last year of his deal. They don't have as much leverage as they'd like, and if they take a hard stance, he'll be there one more season and they'll get nada.
June 19, 201412 yr Faried will be a fan favorite wherever he goes. Maybe the heat should trade Bosh for him...after all, how many old jump shooters does one team need? (looking at you Ray Ray).

I'd say that's not quite true. Depends on what your team needs are. If offence is not a concern, Faried brings a higher motor/energy and much better defense along with double digit rebounds and does all the little "dirty" jobs most of the stars don't do. And he's gonna get you double digit points here and there from the "garbage man" work he does, though that isn't a constant for sure. There are teams that could/would benefit as much or more from having him than having Love I believe.

June 19, 201412 yr I think looking at Loves stats would make this argument moot. Guess we will have to just disagree on this. I can see lineups where Faried would be the better puzzle piece/what a team needs more. Sometimes having 5 guys on the floor who want/need the ball isn't a good thing.
June 19, 201412 yr Kevin Love is one of the best rebounders in the league so not buying the Faried will get you rebounds argument.
