June 18, 201412 yr You're probably right, and that's one of the reasons why I've thought Bruce could hit in the 2 hole. The problem with Bruce & Votto as #2 & #3 is that it enables a manager to bring in a lefty specialist. Frazier has done very well in that spot. In 17 games hitting 2nd, Frazier is hitting .269 with a .338 OBP, 7 HR & 14 RBI's. He's actually hitting better 5th (.294 avg, .365 OBP with 7 HR & 20 RBI in 28 games) & 6th (.324 average, .410 OBP, 1 HR & 1 RBI in 10 games) but I agree with you, I like him hitting 2nd. Now with Votto back I expect him to do better

True but he also has 16 less K's. I couldn't find how many times Billy has been on by error. That hurts the OBP but he still gets on base to do damage. The key for me is that Bikly just needs to make contact, doesn't matter if it's hit right at someone or a gapper, he puts a ball down and he will always have a chance to be on base.

It is so dumb that your OBP doesn't go up if you get on base b/c of an error. A guy like Hamilton forces errors.
