This actually proves how out of touch Grimes is with Kentucky voters. Anyone who thinks this is a savvy political move is kidding themselves. Elizabeth Warren is a serial liar who lied about her ethnicity to advance her career , she is about as liberal a senator there is in office , and one if the biggest anti coal politicians in the country. Even the liberal posters on this board who like Warren have to be intelligent enough to see a large majority of Kentucky voters don't agree with most her positions .

Fauxcahontas is a serial liar, but I think that is just part of the current job description for a national Democratic politician. There are not enough self-absorbed college students in Kentucky to elect Grimes. College students may want taxpayers to pay for their tuition but most taxpayers are not buying it. Maybe there are enough Kentuckians already drawing government welfare and disability checks to elect Grimes. I certainly hope not.

You are confused. Vouchers and tax breaks allow taxpayers and others use some of the money that would otherwise be spent to fund failing public schools to send their kids to private schools like rich snobs like Obama does. No additional tax revenue is required.

That is the subject for another thread. Obviously you are at peace with Democrats buying votes with government handouts. I oppose new socialist programs and Elizabeth Warren is probably more of a socialist than Obama.

 

People who send their children to private schools instead of public schools still pay taxes to support public schools that they are not utilizing. Subsidizing a portion of private school tuition with one's own money is not a subsidy at all. Most liberal Democrats even oppose vouchers for poor children that would allow them to escape from some of the worst public schools in the country. I assume that you are one of them, or am I mistaken?

I agree, some regulation is needed to protect people but much of what I am seeing lately labeled as consumer protection is more about government controlling commerce which harms competition, innovation and ultimately harms consumers.

Andy and Barney busted the cheats in Mayberry before they had a chance to infiltrate Wall Street. As far as your second statement, it's tough to "harm competition" when there ain't hardly any left in many economic sectors. Called an oligopoly.
