I know I'm :deadhorse: on this, but BP has to go whether they are buyers or sellers. The interesting thing will be how they spin dumping him to the fan-base if they are within "go for it" distance.
June 10, 201412 yr The problem is what do they want to do. The division isn't shaping up as a tough one, so yeah, maybe we can make a run to get there. But do they think we have the goods to do some damage once we get there. Inevitably, this team is either going to win as currently constructed, or going to have to cut it's losses and get rid of some contracts while acquiring some young talent to build back up the farm system. Those are the two best baseball moves. The alternative method is what the Phillies are currently doing, God love em, and hanging on to everyone despite big contracts and average numbers while being totally out of the race. But hey, at least they still have Utley, Howard, and Lee.

At this time we are in the process of radiation therapy on the cancer in the dugout, chemotherapy to insure the mass is gone from the clubhouse. As a result, there may be some sickness we undergo as we get back to total health as an organization. He's moved to the #3 hole without complaint, hit a respectable average, played great defense, been able to stay on the field, and kept his mouth shut. What more do you want from him?

Not moving runners over has been a team wide problem. Jogging to first? Do we condemn Joey when he does it? There are less than a handful of guys that go all out to first every single time. I have read about 3/4ths of the threads concerning the Reds in their entirety. When they were trying to trade him in the offseason, sure, all for it. But he hasn't done anything wrong in 6 months. So he didn't want to talk to the media. Who cares? That stuff about management and Joey, that was out of bounds and out of line. If they traded him after that then so be it. But he's done what they've asked him to do in 2014.
