Kid can play. Heard he wants to play basketball in college. That step back three was nasty.

Did not hear that... Whatever school he goes to will get a very good baseball and basketball player.. That doesn't happen that often..

Best of luck to the young man.

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching him these last 3 years.

I'll be curious to see what college opportunities he gets.

Ball State has expressed interest on the basketball side of things.

Legit D1 prospect on the diamond.

I agree just imagine if he just focus on one or the other. Kid is really good at both also heard he played Qb as a Frosh and can really throw the pigskin.

If I'm a smaller school, I take him on my team. He can do it all.

Best question for debate about this kid might be what the most correctable weakness in his game is? If he grows a few inches, he's a D1 player, so let's leave that one out.

Outside of his size, what could he do to improve?

Not too many weaknesses.

Good mid range game.

Solid with the rock.

Very good defensively.

Only thing I can point out is him needing to learn to play without the ball in his hands. In games Newcath lost this year, they were either pressured or the opposing team did a really good job face guarding him off the ball and denying. (See Vonhandorf in the region tourney)

Overall, he can hold his own against any point guard in the state at both ends. He doesn't get enough credit for his quickness defensively.

Thanks, much appreciated. I could see how his defense would be underrated. When I saw him against Cordia, I thought he did fine defensively, but I could see how people might dismiss him just because he doesn't pass the "look" test for what you think of in an ideal defender.

Also, excellent call on learning to play without the ball more. When I saw him, he predominantly played on the ball, and I think that's obviously where he's most effective, but I could see how forcing him to play off it would be very unnatural for him.

I agree

Heard from one of the assistant coaches from Newcath over the weekend that South Carolina Upstate really likes Pangallo and is going on a official visit in a couple weeks there.

He has already gone on an unofficial there as well.

I love Zack's game! I always make my youngest sit with me when we watch him play, so that I can point out all the juicy parts of his game. He is also a really good kid and his dad is a great guy! (Too bad he plays for NCC :)

I love the willingness to stop and pop from mid-range. I've never seen the kid play and this video makes me want to catch a few NCC games.
