That last play was crazy. I thought the Boone SS made an unreal catch and then I saw the ball pop up and then hit the ground. Heckuva effort by the SS.

I picked a great game to watch for my first game of the year!

Congrats to Dixie on the win and a big congrats for the CLASS they showed throughout the game. Not once did they resort to the silly antics carried out by the Boone dugout while Dixie was in the field. The Boone players acted like they were more interested in being like the CovCath Crazies than they were in playing baseball.

It's an option for the umpire. Less harsh I guess. Very subjective. Not black and white in the rulebook.

I've never heard of a player being restricted, only a coach. So I guess they are forced to take him out of the lineup and stay in the dugout as all players are required to do anyway?

He can't re-enter. He is only out for the remainder of that game.
