I thought the same thing. I did some research and at one time, they did. It's been well over 10 years since they've done that. They now play on the full college length floor.

This was done before UK got their new floor. I can personally attest to the fact this was done in the mid to late 1980s. Old threads on this forum and others also refer to the shorter court for KHSAA boys basketball tourney. They were able to take out sections between the free throw circle and half court on both sides to get the proper length.
