Just like with the girls basketball tourney the softball tourney venue is up for debate today. Julian Tackett seems to really like Owensboro as the new site.

Wasn't it already in Owensboro? They lost out on not gaining it in BG, but they never had it. What was eye opening is that Tackett indicated it wasn't even close in the proposals.

Kinda surprising, considering that Buchanon Park in Bowling Green is 1000% better than Jack Fisher Park in Owensboro.

Seems like the Board of Control sent a pretty sharp message to Bowling Green and WKU today.

It all came down to the money that Owensboro is willing to give them every time they bid on it.

Maybe they should take some of the $$ they are giving up and either put in real fence or replace the crappy temporary fence. This is a punch in the face for the girls. Best of my knowledge just about all HS sports play @ a venue that is made for their sports. Not a makeshift rec fields.

Would have to agree Owensboro (Jack C Fisher Park) is less than impressive and HUGELY disappointing wit the cheap worn out temporary fencing.

Sad for the girls....they deserve to play on better fields than those.

E-Town has a great complex, just not all the amenities needed to run the tournament.

and the amenities are all that matter to KHSAA, it would seem.
