Why did they forfeit if they were already there?

 

According to a player (who told a parent of the NKY Bulldogs)... They forfeit a pool play game because they didn't play well. Then, I just saw they forfeited a game in bracket play. Unsure why this happened....

Kind of like a punishment for having a bad game? Wouldn't you play the next game and work on getting better?

Heard the Magic forfeited multiple games. Not sure why...

 

What age group?

This was 17U

The 17U's forfeit. Why? I don't know. I do know that the 15U's and 16U's played until they lost.

Again, this was hearsay, from a player on the 17U team. Whether they forfeit due to poor play, or for some other reason... the pool schedule, and bracket did show forfeits.

How did they make sweet 16 of any bracket If they forfeigt? I heard Myles just left after they got beat in pool play. Also been hearing alot of players are unhappy with what's been going on wth the 17u team. May not be true but what I've been hearing

Not sure of anything with this team, but they appeared to have about 8 guys this past weekend, which in AAU is real close to a full team.

 

As for the Sweet 16, I saw they lost in pool play, then forfeit the second game. Then, they won a few bronze bracket play games and then forfeit the last game they were supposed to play.

July 16-20 Summer Jam (Mequon, Wisconsin)

July 23-27 Nationals (Louisville, Ky)

 

Don't know of any roster changes. From what I've heard Trey Grundy is "supposed" to be cleared this month. If he's gonna play, I don't know.

I believe I saw on Hoop Dreams thread that Aric Holman will be playing with them.

Heard the same thing. Hearing kids are scrambling for teams now. Awful timing for this to take place if this is true. Especially for the 17U team. They probably won't get prorated refunds either.
