May 11, 201412 yr This kid will be a player for the Bengals. He may have only been clocked at 4.6 at the combine, but if you have watched any of his tape you can see that he plays much faster than this. He often outruns DB's on his way to 40-50 yard touchdown runs. Running back obviously wasn't a glaring need, but personally I really like this pick. Our one, two punch out the backfield should be deadly this year. No doubt Hyde is a great player as well. However, the biggest difference between the two is the style of offense they played in. Hill comes from a pro-style offense run by a former NFL offensive coordinator in Cam Cameron, while Hyde ran in a spread offense that didn't force him to read holes and pick his spots as much. Only time will tell which player has the better career, but for right now, I believe the Bengals made the right choice with Jeremy Hill.
May 12, 201412 yr I really hope it works out for both teams. I am a Bengal fan but wish Carlos well. Heard from some people in his circle he is thrilled to move back to the beach climate and live in one of the nicest cities in the US. Plus he feels like he can win a SB sooner in SF and he gets to learn from Frank Gore. Hope Hill is equally a stud for the Bengals.
May 12, 201412 yr He's definitely a tool, but hopefully guys like PacMan or Vontaze can take him under their wings as they both have had less than stellar pasts too. Glad someone mentioned Burfict. I'd like to think that if Hill has really learned from his mistakes that he'll work his butt off to realize his full potential given that the Bengals took a chance on him because of his previous off the field issues.

Huge difference in UFA and using their 2nd round pick on guys. Plus was Burfict in legal trouble before he got here?
