St Henry bats around in the first inning, making it 5-0, 8th grader Floyd starts for the Crusaders, Hatton pitches well in relief for Lloyd. Lloyd starts to lessen the deficit in the later innings but the Crusaders are able to close it out.

St. X (OH) learned about a tournament game on SUN to force the cancellation. Senior Day / Fan Appreciation Day at Highland Park will now be FRI iv. Conner. Good news is now the Baby Birds get to face CovCath at home in the Frosh tourney.

Birds defeat Campbell Co. in the JV tourney 3-0 on a 2 hit complete game by Ricky Raisor. Good to get the win. Great to only use 1 arm in such a short tourney. Anyone with details please provide.

Conner gets the shut out tonight against Bellevue 26-0 in the JV tourney.

Dixie 6 Ryle 4 in the frosh tourney.

Ryle JV wins 3-0 over Cooper. Complete game 3-hit shutout by Alex Goodridge, who has been lights out all year long. He is going to make an impact at varsity level next year. Ryle versus Beechwood on Wednesday at Beechwood.

Actually was an 1 hit shutout on just 84 pitch 1 hit shutout with 9 K's. The one hit CC did get could have very easily been an out. Defense was very solid with 2 nice diving catches in the outfield. Hitting for Birds was Beal 2-4 with run scored, Cain 1-4 with run scored, Kreeger 2-4 with run scored and rbi, Dougherty 1-3 with 2 rbi on a double and sac fly, Walkenhorst 0-3 with walk, Mayhew 1-2, Casebolt 3-3, Doty 0-2 with sac bunt and Lindeman 0-3. Overall nice effort by both teams and the future looks bright for each.

 

Understand the Birds will be taking on NCC on Wednesday in the next round.
