The Tigers won the All A or small school state championship. It just so happens Beechwood may have the talent to complete for the Kentucky State Championship which will include all schools. If BW didn't have the ability to compete in the 9th region tourney we would all be shouting kudos to the Tigers. If my son went to a school that only had a little over or under 200 boys grades 9-12 and they won a state wide tourney for those schools that includes all 16 regions, I would definitely say his team were state champs of that tourney of which his team met the qualifications for. I don't know the qualifications to enter the all A, anyone know?

The only information I could find was that All "A" meant any school with a Grade 10-12 enrollment of 425 or less would qualify. That was 4 years ago so I am not sure how it is measured currently.

Agreed. Most people know what the All "A" is and what the structure is. If they didn't there would not be any state championship hair splitting that we are seeing in the thread. As long as it is defined as All "A" then I am ok with it being called a state championship because that is how it is set up.

Awesome championship run by BW. Classifications for different sports very complex. Different for track, football, basketball, etc. anybody know how they do it for baseball?

There are no classes in Baseball. The All A tourney just takes smaller schools and puts them in this tournament. It's not like Football where there are actually different classes. Baseball is just like Basketball in that every team in the state competes to win the state title, only 1 given out for baseball.
