Jumper_Dad
in 1996 the NBA named the following players the 50 best of All-Time, well it's almost been twenty years since then. Does anyone deserve to be added to this list? If so who comes off to make room? Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Nate Archibald Paul Arizin Charles Barkley Rick Barry Elgin Baylor Dave Bing Larry Bird Wilt Chamberlain Bob Cousy Dave Cowens Billy Cunningham Dave DeBusschere Clyde Drexler Julius Erving Patrick Ewing Walt Frazier George Gervin Hal Greer John Havlicek Elvin Hayes Magic Johnson Sam Jones Michael Jordan Jerry Lucas Karl Malone Moses Malone Pete Maravich Kevin McHale George Mikan Earl Monroe Hakeem Olajuwon Shaquille O'Neal Robert Parish Bob Pettit Scottie Pippen Willis Reed Oscar Robertson David Robinson Bill Russell Dolph Schayes Bill Sharman John Stockton Isiah Thomas Nate Thurmond Wes Unseld Bill Walton Jerry West Lenny Wilkens James Worthy
Irish Cat
Don't know who would come off, but Kobe and LeBron are on the new list. Not even worthy of a discussion.

PurplePride92
I think Pierce and Wade are better than Drexler and Worthy. Am I wrong?

Jumper_Dad
I'd pull Pippen to make room for LeBron and pull Worthy to make Room for Kobe
Irish Cat
I think Pierce and Wade are better than Drexler and Worthy. Am I wrong? I think Drexler stays, Worthy can go! I agree. Worthy goes. Drexler was a 10 time All Star and 1 time Champ. Career average of 20.4 and 6.1 Worthy was a 7 time All Star and 3 time Champ. Career average of 17.6 and 5.1 Worthy had more rings, but that probably has more to say about Magic and Kareem than Worthy Pierce is a 10 time All Star and 1 time Champ. Career average of 21.3 and 5.9 He should be on the list Wade is 10 time All Star and 3 time Champ. Career average of 24.3 and 3.7 He should be on the list as well, however, like Worthy you have to give his teamates a lot of credit for those last two titles. Wade beat the Mavericks by himself for his first title. None of those others won a title by themself.
PurplePride92
It's hard to be able to say who goes off when I have only seen those players who were active in the 1980s to now play. I can't accurately assess how good those from the 70s and before were. My top 50 list would remove most of them but I know that isn't a logical list.
