B-Ball-fan
Just Wonderful. I've for years have everyday had a banana for breakfast, and maintain that it's one of, if not the most important constant in my diet. I'm actually about to have one right this minute, and feeling a bit apprehensive. As The Stomach Turns This sucks. B-Ball-fan
Well that's not good! I'd say. Here's the original sung by Billy Jones in 1923. I remember by Dad (born 1919) singing this. Since it was released when he was 3 going on 4, it's possibly his first fav as a little boy.
75center
Can't follow the link but I remember reading a couple years ago that the banana would be one of the foods not availabe in the future. Apparently the banana crop has been decimated a couple times in the past by disease but an offshoot form has always been developed. The bananas we eat today are very different from the past. For some reason they were saying there would be no more variations available that could withstand the disease.

Jim Schue
Great. That means they'll be going up to 99 cents a pound, and probably will never drop back down again, kind of like when it shot from 39 to 59 cents a pound a couple years ago and has never dropped again. 75center
I think they'll go up a lot more than 99 cents/pound if they continue to lose crops.

rjs4470
Banana's are the only fruit I don't like. I try one every couple of years, because there is no logical explanation as to why I don't like them. This is what I did with pears, and cantaloupe, which I never liked as a kid, but now eat. Banana's though, I just can't get a taste for. I end up throwing it away. I even will eat starfruits and other crazy exotic fruit. Can't do a banana though. I won't miss 'em if they disappear.
