State Championship start time conflicts with UK basketball

Recommended Posts

Wait ... I thought the State Championship was Ballard's, then Hopkinsville's? This is why games are played folks. If you are as good as you are touted to be then you'll win your games, if not you'll be watching someone else lift the trophy!

Ok let's just not play the semi finals of state tourney and just go ahead and give Trinity the trophy I think not there is three other teams who just may have a say in that:madman:

Don't take it personally. Trinity just impressed me more than anybody else. More power to whomever can upset them.

Anybody and I mean anybody can be beat so as for Trinity winning it all I personally don't think so that is why we play the game.:taz::taz:

I didn't say nobody else could win it. It would just surprise me if Trinity didn't based on their collective performances to date. Of course anybody can be beat....it's possible but not probable.

I had no doubt that you were the "I told you so" type. Thanks for making me right.

Great game by Scott County and better game by Gilbert. He is incredible. Scott County deserved the win. They were the better team tonight!!!

Worse (for Trinity fans) they'll ALWAYS be the winner of this particular game which is the only one that counts. Everything in the regular season is just so much preparation to get to here. Whoever wins tomorrow will be remembered forever and the other 15 were "just there".

Not trying to be a smart aleck rather just telling it like it is as one whose team has been here fairly frequently and always come up short of the ultimate goal. There are no moral victories in championship tournaments.

Need to go back to semis in the morning and finals at night on Sat. Been her all week makes for a long week.

Agreed. Start the Saturday morning game at 9 or 9:30 if you need to. The second game can start by 11:30 and be over by 2. Start the final at 8:30 or 9.

I don't they've really got the flexibility to be changing it at this late in the game. Wouldn't be the first time a state championship conflicted with a big UK game.

Honestly, the way the finals are shaping up, most casual fans will be taking a pass on the finals anyway. Trinity winning again is not going to do a lot to excite the masses, and they'll probably go find a TV screen.

Not so fast :)

I agree that the only truly impressive team in the tournament has been Trinity. It would completely surprise me if any of the remaining three teams win this. Scott County in my opinion has been less than impressive. I don't have a team in the tournament. So, this is just the opinion of a casual fan who has watched all of the tournament games.

I love complete surprises.

I agree.

Scott County isn't a Scott County of old. 12 is a player. Even, though there game with JC was nip and tuck for a bit, I never felt like that game was in any doubt whatsoever.

Isn't the Scott Co of old. What does that mean?
