Christian Laettner Highlight...time to let it go Cat Fans!

Can you imagine the Laettner shirts in Naptown if the Cats and Dukies both make it?

It's the best college basketball game I have ever seen & probably the most clutch individual performance I have ever seen.

It certainly broke my heart when it happened & stuck with me for years. But I'm long past it & appreciate it for what it is. When I think of college basketball games, I think of that one first & foremost.

Laettner was so good. Dude did not miss a single shot, FT, or chest stomp the entire game.
The 92 team is one of the most beloved team ever for UK.

If they made it to the final four they would have had a banner but would they be held in such high regard as the team that lost in such a terrible way?

I recall a writer in SI that stated the loss gave UK something it never had before. Sympathy

And even that was short lived.

When Christian Laettner accidentally tripped over Aminu Timberlake and was called for a technical Richie Farmer went to the line and hit 1-2 from the FT line. UK lost by 1 point.

Just saying.......

Thats an even more reason to send him to jail early.
