I'd have to look to see how it compares to after the spring season in past years. Seems like a fair amount of activity during the spring practice and surrounding the FL game. On a personal level this past season is the last class that I'm familiar with so I'm also waiting to hear about the next group.

Maybe I'm wrong then. The question was, "Why are the HHS faithful so quiet this offseason?". Maybe they are too excited to type.

 

The Baseball team is doing really well. Maybe their in the baseball forum.

Highlands will have another great season, I have no doubt. But, you have to expect most Highlands fans are apprehensive after not winning the State Championship in quite some time. And, there is always some worry when a new coach takes over, no matter who that coach is. It's natural.

 

Yeah I'm very apprehensive because we lost on the very last play of the State Championship game. The Collins WR catches the ball and Collins wins and if HHS blitzes all down lineman and gets to the QB, then it's a different story. Yes there is a new coach but you won't see much of a difference in 2014 from years past. That's 100 years past to be exact. You might see a few thinks change but why fix something that isn't broke. Is Highlands Football broke? Highlands football is Highlands football and I will take the strong tradition and the beliefs that each team stands on the shoulders of the teams that played before them. At Highlands we use terms like "Play to Win" and not just to play for a banquet win like some programs across the state. It may sound like some of us are a little over the top but that's how we(I) roll in Ft Thomas. And yes, It's natural!

Lol.....So is this the official Highlands 2014 thread? Because if it is, I personally know of about 3-4 posters that won't come here. I thought you were the only one to launch official team threads. I guess I need to renew my subscription about 5 more times to get rank.....LOL!

 

I will in fact come out of the woodwork since you knocked and ask you 7 so years later if you still think a Highlands/Raceland annual match up would be beneficial to both programs. I remember very clearly you saying that it would of been a good move by both programs. Both programs? We know what Highlands would get out of it, but what exactly would the Rams could of possibly gained by playing this game besides a healthy gate? I'm hear all night for your viewing pleasure.

This "Highland" guy will not post anything of any relevance beyond this post in this thread, not that anything I say is relevant anyway, strictly for the fact of who started the thread. I'm allowed to "hate"! Lol!

Good for you guys. A term we try not to use in Ft Thomas. Would of loved to came to Raceland! That is one beautiful area to travel. The Big Sandy is one of my favorite areas of the state.

We both have new coaches, have them work it out. I think it would have been a pretty fun game, with Highlands winning, prior to Highlands starting to platoon. With the platooning I doubt it would be as good of a game.
