I know Lexington Catholic hit a late skid, but I think they're a top 25 team in the state and that this is going to be one of the best first round match ups that you'll find.

Lex Catholic played 5 games in a 7 day spand. They were exhausted by the time they played Scott County. Not saying they will beat the Cards, but it will be more competetive that the last one. Scott County will win out in the 11th region.

IMO, This game has the potential of being the least competitive as far as scoring margin than any first round game in this year's region tournament. I have the Cards by double digits.

Agree on the exhaustion. Catholic had played a very brutal stretch and had a lot of travel in that period as well. It didn't help that Griffin and Talbott were nursing injuries either.

And 110% agree that this one will be more competitive than the last.

I think Woodford County-Madison Southern will be the largest margin.

I see this one, the Madison Central-Franklin County, and the Henry Clay-Lafayette games all as having the potential to be classics.

My heart is definitely with the Knights but with Jarod Griffin's broken wrist it will take a herculean effort to come out on top in this one.

I think it's doable, but the biggest key will be keeping it close early. I really wonder how damaged the Knights' psyche may be after the last game, especially now with the injury to Griffin. The last thing that Lexington Catholic wants to see is an early deficit and/or a big Scott County run.

I don't really know how Scott County's loss in the district finals will play in. On one hand, it shows that they are probably more vulnerable than we've thought recently. On the other hand, it could have been the wake up call that they needed and it's hard to see them dropping two straight after they've only lost two games the entire regular season.

I believe Southern beat Woodford a couple of weeks ago. I think that will be a close game too.

Jinx? No such thing. I'm not sure I believe in luck.

The best team will win, regardless of what some guy who spends most of the year in Texas will write on a KY High School message board.

Give me Coach Hundley. Again (and like I said for Franklin County in the FC-Madison Central thread), Woodford County has already played two games in the Civic Center, and that counts for something.
