Beechwood came out fired up. Holmes, not so much.

 

Coach Booher was very unhappy with how his team was playing so he went to his bench early and often. Sat Bolden from the 3 min mark of 2st qtr until about the 430 mark of the 2nd qtr. Chames also picked up his 2nd foul either late 1st qtr or really early 2nd qtr.

 

Shover had a stretch where he scored 8 straight to put his team up 14-10 and then 16-11 after being down 10-8.

 

2nd half Holmes picked up the intensity defensively and went on I think a 16-2 run to open the 3rd qtr.

Beechwood came out fired up. Holmes, not so much.

Excellent game plan by Coach Goetz and his staff. Unfortunately after 11-16 FG in 1st half it was just not sustainable. The 94 foot floor helped the Tigers immensely.

Correct. . Not a very big crowd but great experience for the BWood and HC kids to be able to play in that arena.

I've never been clear on how the BOK arrangement works for local high school games, but I'm sure someone here can clarify the matter. In the meantime, I'd like to think that perhaps some folks with the means to make a kind and generous gesture went ahead and did so. It happens.
