Still the favorite in my mind. Beating Manual, a very good team, by 8 on a neutral floor does not take away from that.

Referees blew the whistle way too much and the game never got any flow to it. Martin fouled out in the 4th quarter, Snider sat the 2nd quarter with foul trouble. Neither team could hit a shot from the outside with the exception of Kovacevik. Just wasn't a fun game to watch period.

 

Trey Boyd and Dwayne Sutton both had 18 for Manual. Sutton may be the best player in the 7th next year not named Raymond Spalding.

Ballard, on paper, is a clear cut No. 1 in the state, but even the most ardent Bruin fan would have to have some concern over their recent results. They seem to win, but give up a ton of points in some games (of course, I see the blowouts, but I am talking about vs. decent competition).

 

Any concern here for Ballard? Is this vs. the JV giving up big leads or what?

 

Can a Bruin fan enlighten me or is this much ado about nothing?

^ Every Ballard team for as long as I can remember has had the same game plan: give up a ton of points, score even more. It works for them an awful lot but can probably be said to be a big cause for why they have three state titles and not six or seven.
