Former CCH sharpshooter Mike Schuh looks like Jack Nicholson with the front row seats!

Actually Nick Ruthsatz played in only 25 minutes of the game tonight and that means he sat out around 7 minutes or almost a full quarter of the game!

 

Cole VonHandorf played the most minutes of anyone on the CovCath team as he logged in 29 minutes.

 

Hatton played 24 minutes, all of one minute less than Ruthsatz!

 

So your beef is..........

 

Not so much a beef with him and this may happen more than I realize. When I see teams blow out teams and you look at the box scores and you see one kid still racking on the points, you gotta wonder. I think I would rather see a team with 5/6 or more in double figures than just 2/3. There is no question he is one of the best in the region, I would just like to have seen him or any other top scorer on their team with fewer points giving their other teammates more opportunities to score. And last night CCH showed they have others that really can shoot.

Appears to be very quite on the Dixie side today,,,,must be out clearing the drive way

 

Why stir the pot? Dixie got beat, it happens to every team during the season. Sometimes you get beat and don't play well, sometimes like in the CovCath vs. Cooper game you play great and still get beat, it happens. Dixie has some great coaches, players and fans, leave it alone and be classy!

As was posted by Clyde (I thought it was him), this I believe is the first time this season that a sub didn't score. It was a big game, in front of a huge crowd, on a college floor, just a week or so before the 35th District games and Ninth Region games that will be played on the same floor. You got to believe that CovCath was trying to get their starters ready for the tourney!

...did he need to be in till 2 minutes left? I guess I respect teams more when they do not continue to pour it on with thier starters in while being up by as much are 30 at one time.

He did it immediately after Hatton delivered the intentional foul forearm to his son's head...so I can only guess he was a little pissed. He only kept it on for a few possessions and then called it off, but I think that had more to do with Dixie breaking it each time.

Agree with that, with this weather you have to let them play because you don't know when the weather is going to get you. Your Moeller game for example. Good point.

I wondered that too at the time but that makes sence now.

Anyone else notice Ruth's "jump shot" free throws? Was told he was struggling at the charity stripe so he went to that and has been around 90% since. Kid can flat out shoot the rock. One of the smoothest shots in the region.

Not sure what his final numbers were but it was nice to see Nick Niehaus look like his old self last night. He was scoring at all three levels and aggressive around the rim. If Dixie can get that type of play out of him with Hatton playing well, Dixie will be a tough out come region tourney time.

People don't believe me when I tell them that he is a pretty solid shooter when given the opportunity. It seems this year is just like last year where he wasn't involved in the offense early in the year only to be given more chances (which he converts) in the latter part of the season. He's learned to play better down low and adds to that a mid range game with perimeter shooting. On top of that he is a great, hardworking kid that busts his butt constantly.

Nick has a very good looking shot. His two outside jumpers looked smooth last night.

 

Rabe actually has a really smooth shot as well. He could average 15 ppg if he played on a team with less talent where he had to be "the man." He's very good at playing within the system, though.
