Needing help with Valentine's Day dinner

Featured Replies

I've had a couple items off of the menu at Walt's. Most of them are very good. Their ribs are horrible.

You and I don't disagree on much, but we do on this -- I love their ribs. I hate boiled ribs (Montgomery Inn, for example) that fall off. I love them grilled and needing to be gnawed. I also love their sauce, not sweet like across the river. As mentioned, the rye bread is also great and their tomato garlic salad dressing is top shelf.

Will agree that the service is hit or miss, too much screwing around with each other for my liking.

Haven't ate at Walts, but I just find that hard to believe.

For the last 15 years we have had an annual dinner with friends at the Precinct. Been to Walts twice for steaks in the last few months. Just my opinion, but it is based on a fair amount of experience.

Jimmy G's downtown. Was Jeff Rubys executive chef for years. Steaks are awesome nice selection of fish also. Great wine list and full bar. Very cozy. Took the wife on our anniversary she loved it!

Maggiano's in Kenwood you might see me.

I'll be there tomorrow night

Where is The Grand Finale?

It's in Glendale. Just a few blocks off of 75 though. I really like the place. it may be a little old school for some folks, but I've never found it to be a pretentious place.

The B.E.S.T. brunch in Cincinnati area and it isn't close. Grand Finale is really good....

I have been to Walt's a couple times since the re-opening. Almost everything on the menu has been pretty good (especially the rye bread), but I find their ribs to be almost inedible.

We ended up winging it. Hit 50 West, Mad Tree and Rhinegeist, then Incline Public House for a delicious meal.
