I suspect we've got at least three current or former Wal-Mart employees involved in this brouhaha. I love it when you have someone with facts debating another person who's entire understanding of the economy and a particular company came from a two day tent stay at an Occupy event. BTW, my involvement with Walmart is the same as 80 someodd percent of the US. I'm just enjoying Seattle vs Denver, part II.

Walmart actually puts average pay per state on their corporate website...don't you think if those numbers were wrong your left pals would have pounced on it. It was an employees only food drive, meaning some associates were taking up food to help a few others, some had lost their house due to fire and others had a spouse recently loose their job. Walmart managers and associates have always worked to help each other out. Walmart even as an emergency fund that is funded 100% by members of management that can help associates out in a time of need such. There really is a family culture in most stores. No different than any place that my wife as worked where workers pull together to help out others when they are having tough times...this has no bearing on what employs make...just friends helping friends.

February 9, 201412 yr How many people are actually full-time with relation to how many people are employed per store? Some stores are over 75% Full-time and some are lower, all that I can think of are at the very least 60%+, as stated many only want 20 to 30 hours a week and do not want Full-time hours. Some are students, for some this is a 2nd job, some are seniors that are limited on how much they can make and some just want a job a few days a week to have something to do. Of course Part-time associates still get yearly raises just like full time, they still get an opportunity to enroll in health insurance and nearly all other benefits accorded to Full-time associates.
