Just got word......game is ON! 7:00 Dayton High School.

As Wayne and Garth would say, "GAME ON". Better know some secret parking places :sssh: or be prepared to slosh thru the snow.

Maybe I can get the LB13 bus to drive me down... :lol2:

Going to try to take this game in tonight.

I'm less than 5 minutes from Dayton's gym, so unless you live along the way, not going to happen. :lol2:

However, hope to see you there.

I'm not able to make the game due to family obligations, hopefully someone will post some updates.

Game can be watched both live and on demand at nkysports. Com under the webcasts link

Excellent!!!! Thanks.

Excellent!!!! Thanks.

Well, Not so excellent. The Dayton Athletic Director has pulled the the plug on the Nkysports.com broadcast, after apparently having approved it earlier.

This is obvioulsy a disappointment to all of those of us who were settling in to watch the game, and a public relations black eye for Dayton High School.

Hopefully, the powers who determine the host sites of the "A" tournament in the future will take this into consideration and avoid Dayton.

Incidentally, to the mod who dropped the name Ben from the above post. The reference was to Ben Bleser of Nkysports.com and not Walter.

I would have to think this game would be close to sold out.

I'm neither defending nor condoning Dayton's actions, but I was told the table which buttels used for TriStateInternetSportsRadio was his table. When I needed a table to do stats on, Scott Meyers, Dayton's AD, was able to accommodate me. Not sure if NKYSports needed more room than I did or what, but it may just be a question of table space. :idunno:

Dayton's AD wasn't rude to us at all but basically was unwilling to allow us to set up a table down in the corner next to/behind the Newport bench because he was worried about a player running out of bounds and being injured.

Valid concern...but..., if anyone knows where Newport's bench is/was at Dayton, that is virtually impossible as they would probably run in to a cheerleader first.

I won't bad mouth the guy because he was nice as could be to me, but this was definetly a situation that could have been avoided. Last year at Bellevue, they set up a table for us right next to the press table. The year before at Beechwood, we were right where we would have been at Dayton tonight. No issues.

He also asked if we brought our own table. That is the first time I've ever been asked that. Every other school has been great with providing us anything we need. The one chair at the press table at Dayton simply isn't enough room for the equipment that we use for our broadcasts. It was crowded WITH there being an open seat.

I would have to think this game would be close to sold out.

3/4 full on both sides tonight.
