Adam cummings form Paintsville is currently 3rd in the state! way to g o Adam!!!:ylsuper:

I saw this kid throw, he was amazing. Anyone have his varsity distances? They had to up there. I'm thinking his Frosh throws were in the 170s. I don't know if he was forced to throw at regular frosh meets, I saw him in the frosh regional, in which mostschools run there most talented frosh regardless if they have been competing at that level during the season.

I don't know if forced is the correct word to use, but why wouldn't you want your freshmen to throw at as many meets as possible? And especially at the freshmen meet which has a different atmosphere than most regular meets. Besides, remember that Bellevue is a very small school and in most events a freshman will get a chance to compete at varsity, JV and freshman level if he or she is good enough.

Adam threw 111' 09" at state, but he did not have the weight that he used all season to warm up before the meet. He threw 134' 97" at regionals.

His brother is a discus thrower in college (I don't remember where) but he can sling it as well.

We've had some talk about Adam Bowling (Bellevue). Did not see his name in the box score for this meet. Is he still throwing disc for Bellevue?

He is still throwing for Bellevue. He threw 136' 10" for 2nd at the PIT. He threw 122' 4" for 1st at the Villa Field Meet and 119' 6" for 1st at the Conner Invitational this past weekend. I could not find the results for the Taylor (OH) relays or for the Newport River City Meet.

Cooper throws 54'10 yesterday at the Highlands meet:dancingpa

With the season winding down, who do you think are the favorites? Who do you like the most to put up the best performance in all classes? I think we will some 170's for the men and maybe 150's for the women in the discus. In the shot put, the men will be around 55's maybe a 60 could breakout. For the women we will see some 40's possibly 45's. Should be interesting. Let's hear it!!!

I read in the newspaper that Cooper hit 56'2'' this weekend...:jump: :jump:

Madness, absolute madness!!:jump:

Anyone besides Troy Cooper past 50' in shot this year? I see that 45' took the Dunbar invitational. Looked like some of the big schools participated.

55-03.00 Brian Soverns Grayson County

51-06.00 Corey Peters Central

50-10.00 Stuart Hines Bowling Green

Thanks for the link. See where Tristian Jones of GRC is ranked 2nd in the Discus and 6th in the Shotput. Looking forward to State.
