UCF QB Blake Bortles Declares

Featured Replies

Solid performance in his BCS bowl game and great size and measurements for a QB.

Anyone have a prediction on what round some team will take a flyer on him?

I'm gonna say late Day 1 or early Day 2, maybe early or mid 2nd round. Bring him in, see what type of camp he has, watch him practice for 2 years, then hope you hit the jackpot.

Also wouldn't surprise me if he went in Round 3. I think he knows more than we do or is striking while the iron is hot, otherwise he wouldn't be throwing his name out so early. He's a name we haven't heard much from, but he's a "hot" prospect now and Brett Hundley of UCLA is opting to go back, meaning that his stock would only go up.

Could be as high as #1.

I'm pretty sure I saw a graphic last night that showed him going in the Top 5 & #2 QB (behind Bridgewater & ahead of Manziel).

The mock drafts I have seen have him in the top 5.

McShay was saying last week that Bortles, Manziel, and Bridgewater will go high because of need but none are above mid-first round grade material. That is a huge risk so you have to ask who is the least risk which is why I have maintained Teddy from the onset.

Wouldn't that be something if the poor ol' AAC had the first two QB's taken?

I guess?

Depending on what report you believe, he received a 1st or a 2nd-round draft grade by the NFL advisory board.

I'm not sure if my boy Drew Barker fully realizes what's ahead of him.

With the amount of teams that need a QB in the top 10. He will go top 10. Houston, Jacksonville, Cleveland, Minnesota, Oakland, I think someone will take him top 10.

Still A LOT of time to go before the draft but I do see a good amount of mocks have him going to the Jags at 3. I wouldn't mind him, there is still more time for me to look around at where my Jags will go with that 3rd pick. I personally would rather see Manziel over Bortles but I will trust Gus Bradley to make the right call there.

Where were you guys when I was campaigning for him to be drafted in Cincy? He's going to be a star.
