January 3, 201412 yr S-E-C! S-E-C!!! Stop! Every league, every team, in every sport has morons. Also: a) her husband / boyfriend / friend should have been far more vigilant in getting her out of there. b) some chick needed to pop her once she started flailing kicks with boots on. c) alcohol makes people stupid. Well, too much of it at least.

January 3, 201412 yr I'd love to make an SEC joke, but I've seen much in my time... too much... in the parking lots at Cardinal Stadium. I've never witnessed any problems at PJCS, but this whole thing reminds me of another tragic mixing of alcohol and school pride. One of the most absurd things I’ve witnessed was a full-on brawl between drunks representing most of the Big-12 schools on the beach of South Padre Island during a spring break. There’s a huge portion of the beach there they block off to hold a MTV-style spring break event and all the spring break revelers show up there early to stake out a section of this huge beach area. They do this by planting giant flags representing their schools for everyone to congregate around. Most of the Big-12 schools were represented with a few randoms peppering the lot. A Christian group had a space in the very center of this mess and it was apparently blocked off for them. Some time before dawn they began building an enormous sand sculpture. This thing was two-stories tall. Throughout the day they chiseled away on it as the spring breakers around them got drunker and drunker. By the end of the day they had completed, if memory serves, an enormous arc and Noah amidst waves with a quote from scripture at the bottom. They must have worked on this for at least 12 hours that day. The Sand Arc wasn’t completed for fifteen minutes before someone, who had probably been drinking the entire time they had been building, scaled it and planted their school’s flag at the helm. It wasn't another thirty seconds before the entire top of the arc was filled with shirtless bros throwing haymakers. Every now and then a school’s drunks would scale the Arc, take down a flag and mount their own. Each flag would reign until a mob from another school mounted an attack up the hill. The Baylor drunks made a surprisingly good showing. By this time, drunks on the ground began firing off bottles and whatever else they could load up with sand at the drunks on top of the former Arc, which was just kind of a blob of sand at this point. It was surreal. Bottles flying from all sides, a royal rumble/capture the flag war at the top of a Christian sand sculpture. Eventually there was a lull. I’m not sure what led to it, I believe the police were moving in from the opposite side from my vantage point by then. A lone, scrawny Wisconsin Badger made one last summit and planted the Badger’s W at the top. It won a few laughs, but the drunks were not amused. The poor Badger was decapitated from his blind side by someone in Texas orange.
January 3, 201412 yr I've never witnessed any problems at PJCS Truth be told, it's calmed down significantly. Anyone remember the way the Crunch Zone used to be at Old Cardinal Stadium?
