January 6, 201412 yr For a few reasons I'd like to see Zeke succeed and the biggest reason is because I don't want to see any kid fail. With that said, if the bolded is true, it's Zeke's second time being dismissed by UofL after he was dismissed from Auburn. The kid has talent but at some point you would expect things to click in his mind. Maybe it's time to give up football and concentrate on getting his priorities straightened out in life. Good thought. However, I'm concerned that football might be his "small thread" that keeps him from really going over the cliff.

This is what I am saying. Obviously playing football doesn't seem to make a difference.

January 6, 201412 yr But we aren't seeing any evidence that he cares about that small thread. Yeah, I know. I just have a great deal of respect for what team sports, like football, SHOULD do for someone in helping them grow up. It did a lot for my youngest son when he played HS football.

January 6, 201412 yr Yeah, I know. I just have a great deal of respect for what team sports, like football, SHOULD do for someone in helping them grow up. It did a lot for my youngest son when he played HS football. I do as well. I just wonder what good going to a JUCO would do for him at this point. If he can't manage to stay on a FBS football team then I think the ship has sailed on team sports being able to help him grow as a person and as an adult. I hope he can get himself right in whatever means it takes to get himself right. IMO there is no point in him lacing up the cleats anymore. It seems like the game of life is going to swallow him up quickly whether he is playing football or not.

January 6, 201412 yr If that is the case, it must make his family very sad. Makes me sad and I have never met him. I truly wanted to see him rise above and prove his critics wrong. Instead he's proven them right.
January 7, 201412 yr Bet he wishes he had laid off the extra curricular activity at Auburn...especially tonight.
January 7, 201412 yr Bet he wishes he had laid off the extra curricular activity at Auburn...especially tonight. I know I'd be kicking myself in the teeth. Marshall is sporting ZP's #14.
January 9, 201412 yr What was the reason for his bowl absence? From what I have heard he was suspended for breaking team rules but is still on the team.
January 9, 201412 yr From what I have heard he was suspended for breaking team rules but is still on the team. How come that doesn't surprise me one bit. What a total waste and such a shame. The kid had the world on a silver platter and started throwing it away while still in High School and was still given more chances than he deserves.
