January 2, 201412 yr Author Rockmom. Time to sell your new car and get yourself a pick up truck! No way, Jose! I have my limits.
January 2, 201412 yr Author A few acres? Sounds like Rockmom needs a puppy! Rockmom already has one, and the sister has one as well. Hers is German Shepard/Irish Setter mix, mine is a mix of undetermined origin.
January 2, 201412 yr Author Good luck, RM. We'll miss you here in The Ville. I'll miss The Ville. But I'm still close enough to come back fairly often! It's only an hour and a half.
January 2, 201412 yr Author This will be my view from our front porch. A pretty nice view, and one I'm happy to trade the Highlands for.
January 2, 201412 yr You are a good sister and best of luck to you. Mrs. Doomer and I (with the empty nest) moved to the farmlands last fall, and we absolutely love it. We can go hiking for hours right out our door with all the dogs. Two horses is the plan for 2014. Careful with the lhasapoodaterrier in the country because the coyotes snack at night.

All I need to do is buy another collar. But yeah...coyotes are definitely a concern. He most often won't be outside without supervision, though.

I accidently put the jumpy Smiley on because I have to go out with my dogs when it is dark because we are constantly being "scouted", and I have two old dogs that weren't in the picture (can't get up on the bench) that would be easy prey. I respect the Coyotes' space, but I would hate to lose a dog that way. BTW, my Chocolate lab has an ongoing conversation with one coyote that comes around my property. I would give a nickel to know what they are talking about.

January 2, 201412 yr You know what you get if you breed a Labrador with a pit bull? A meth lab. :sneaky:
January 3, 201412 yr ......... Every time I see this thread I think of that Alan Jackson song "Gone Country" and it stays in my head and rattles around. So thanks for that. :wtf:
January 3, 201412 yr Author What county is Hudson in? Good luck to you RM! :thumb: Breckinridge. Just about 5 minutes to the Grayson Co line.
