December 29, 201312 yr In spite of 4 interceptions by Dalton, the defense once again bailed him out and won a very big game! Bengals wiin their lst gaame going into the playoffs for the first time in awhile. Huge win!!!!!
December 29, 201312 yr Author Lets go Buffalo!! I can t stand the Pats, but if the Pats win today i don't t think my hatred can be any stronger for a team.
December 29, 201312 yr Very sloppy game for Bengals and still win by 17.. Some stupid play calls to boot.
December 29, 201312 yr Author Very sloppy game for Bengals and still win by 17.. Some stupid play calls to boot. yes, but what is a greaat sign is the bengalls of the past would find ways to lose games like this. today they actually played better when their bcks were gainst the wall. letting ravens tie it up at 17 aandbefore you know it we are back up by 10. then we open the door again only to then score again aand finish 34-17. this d efense with all the injuries they have is by far the mvp of this team. Marvin making stupid decisions aagain with the challenge which coulld of cost us with a time out and dalton 4 turnovers and this team still wins by 17....that is strong.
December 29, 201312 yr Agree with all the sentiments here. Good omen that the Bengals can overcome 4 INTs, a bunch of bonehead plays and still win going away.
December 29, 201312 yr Games lessons from today we can only hope our beloved Bengals abide by to win their first playoff game. 1. Avoid multiple INT performance. 2. Don't burn a challenge/TO when proof is provided on the jumbotron and in the booth. 3. Only HS teams should be called for delay of game, or burn a TO due to poor clock mngmt, not NFL teams who win their division. 4. Enough already with the personnel fouls and unsportmanslike conduct calls. 5. Defense, keep it up, another stellar day overcoming offensive shortcomings. Most teams in the NFL lose after their QB throws 4 INTs. The Patriots, Chiefs, and Broncos of the league capitalize off of the above mistakes and win as a result. The Ravens are a mediocre club this season in transition after losing a lot of leadership last year. Bring your A game Bengals and limit the unforced errors and the turnovers and we may win 1-2 playoff games. Again, congrats on the win and GO BENGALS!!! :thumb:
December 29, 201312 yr Great win today! The Bengals once again showed why this is the most talented Bengals team since the last Super Bowl team. All the injuries on defense this year, and now the offense is getting banged up. Both TE's out, the starting center gets knocked out of the game, both Whit and Collins have to come out during parts of the game, and yet the Bengals still beat the defending Super Bowl Champs by 17. So many injuries this year, and this team keeps plugging guys in and getting it done. Great day and now lets go Buffalo make a big comeback! Who Dey!
December 29, 201312 yr Im sayng we have a BGP get together for their ayoff game! BW3s would be a good choice….Hooters, not bad either. Need some early birds to secure tables because a lot of folks will be doing the same. Quaker Steak and Lube has possibilities also!
December 29, 201312 yr The Bengals have also showed this year that a team can get better still even if it keeps it's team intact, and just builds through free agency. To clarify the Bengals kept the team intact and added more young talent and depth to this team through the draft. The defending Super Bowl Champs did get worst by losing a few players, even though they tried to replace them with talented free agents. The Bengals made all the right moves this off season, and hopefully we see it pay off by finally being able to not only get a win in the post season, but making a run at winning the Super Bowl. Who Dey!
December 29, 201312 yr Andy Dalton basically had his whole season tied into one game today. Some very good plays, and some very bad plays lol As frustrating as it can be with some of those picks, I do like it when Dalton is playing with the confidence he has. Even though his confidence sometimes makes him make throws he should never make. Jay Gruden said after the game that the pick at the 1 yard line was a called run, but had the option to be checked to a fade depending on the coverage. Safe to say he better not allow that option next time, at least not on first down! Whats really great about this all though, is even with the mistakes the offense showed that they can do damage and score points especially at home.
December 29, 201312 yr One of the big questions this off season was the #2 receiver. I think we seen why the Bengals didn't overpay in free agency for a #2 receiver. Marvin Jones has came on really strong and definitely has shown that we have a very capable #2 receiver. I believe he has 10 touchdown catches on the year, or fell just short. However he is someone that we haven't talked about much on here, but has played really solid this year! Also great to see Baby Hawk doing his thing!
December 29, 201312 yr One final thing, and I didn't know this until last week. However after last weeks games, the Bengals were both in the top 10 in offense and defense. As frustrated as we can get with this offense, this offense especially at home can be very explosive. Unless some team jumped them, it looks like the Bengals will finish in the top 10 in both offense and defense, and that just shows how talented and balanced this team can be and is. So even though we at times can be frustrated with this offense, it shows that our offense is still better than most teams in the NFL this year. Who Dey!
December 29, 201312 yr Just can't figure Andy out. The 1st pick Marvin got mugged but he wasn't open, you don't always get those calls. The 2nd pick was a bad read and I have no idea what they were doing on the 4th one. Then he was stellar the rest of the game. Defense and special teams, except th eon epunt were solid. Overall, they really dominated.
