Congrats to Harrison County!

I'm debating whether or not this should be considered an upset. Honestly a little surprised Cooper lost and lost by 12.

I didn't like you having Cooper as high as you did, but I never dreamt they'd struggle this much.

Serious question: while they lost some key players, I wonder if they aren't missing Brett Blevins' impact as well. I think he was a key piece of their success.

Brett did a great job with them.

I think they are simply trying to find an identity right now. They have talent with Morgan, both McNeil's, and Hathorn. I haven't seen them other than the preseason scrimmage but my guess is they are really missing the presence of Shelton and Maniacci inside. Those guys did a lot at both ends.

What about the Holland kid, he had a solid yr off the bench last year. They have plenty of talent and should not have lost this game, let alone by 12.

Knew I was forgetting someone. Yes Holland can play too.

Harrison County has "plenty of talent" as well. Why is it so difficult for some in NKY to concede that teams outside your area may be pretty good. Harrison County has lost three games (Oldham Co., Madison Central, St. Henry), by a total of 9 points. Irks me.

It's the old BGP "glass half empty" attitude.

Instead of focusing on how good Harrison County is, it's about how Cooper did not win.

I will admit I don't know much about Harrison Co. So I congratulate them on the win. I would like to know how Cooper played. I am wondering how they came out after losing in OT to Ryle last night. I hope that didn't affect the Jags play. The 42 points only surprise me because I thought scoring would not be a problem with this team. Again if it was due to Harrison D congrats to them.

Here's the thinking.

Cooper is thought of as a top 10 team in NKY. St Henry is not at this time and got drilled by CCH. St Henry beat Harrison County. Since Cooper is thought(key) to be better than St Henry logic would say Cooper should beat HC.

But as that old saying goes.....

I can see that logic, but this is how I approached it:

Ryle won at home against Holy Cross by 10.

Harrison County won at Holy Cross by 13.

Ryle beat Cooper by 3.

I saw this game as a toss-up, so I wouldn't have been surprised whichever team won. I am surprised at the margin.

Looking forward to seeing the Breds for the first time this year on Friday night.

I always hated long division method. :lol2:
