Don't know if there will ever be a game as exciting and energy filled as that regional was.

I was in that crowd behind the endzone at the end of the game. I still cant believe he didnt just run it in.

I'll never forget that game. I was on the goal line with my dad and a few of his buddies. One of those moments that just stuck with me. Would have been a huge own for the town of Dayton.

Bad news, The Skirv came up sick and the Junior Judge Executive took his place.

That stinks for Jaosn. Next year, Swirvin, for sure.

Who the junior judge executive?

For NKY fans, Jason Skirvin (he of the legendary high school career), is making his first state finals appearance as a back judge. Many of you will remember he was the star tailback for Dayton's run with destiny in 1996 that ended in one of the greatest games the state has ever seen, at Beechwood in the Regional Final. As a friend of mine, I want to tell him congrats on the success. Below is a link to the Regional Championship game.

Go to 31:00 mark and watch Skirvin fake the reverse and take it to the house. Faked out the cameraman. LOL

He faked everyone out including myself who was on Beechwoods sideline!

Who the junior judge executive?

Scott Moore, son of Boone Judge Exec. Gary Moore.

My friend was #77 for Beechwood. He used to talk about that play all of the time b/c he was about 2 ft. from Skirvin. He swore the back had the ball. Skirv had huge hands, so that helped w/ pulling off the fake.

We played him and Frisk w/in 3 weeks of each other. Both were awesome.
