If there was ever a doubt about Urban "changing", I think this pretty much settled it. For me, it wouldn't be nearly as big of a deal if he'd have suspended Marcus Hall. You'd think that Meyer would suspend Hall, especially after the summer of Aaron Hernandez, the saga of Chris "Time To Die" Rainey, and all the tough talk he spouted off on the Carlos Hyde incident to begin the season, but of course you'd be wrong.

Guy flips off the crowd and he's compared to a murderer lol. Two OSU players threw punches and were rightfully ejected, yet people want more, its a rivalry game. Man the OSU jealousy pays for Bandwith on this board lol. That model QB at FSU isn't spoken of much though. Glad people on here don't have daughters like I do.

Not comparing what he did to what Hernandez (allegedly) did, just saying that it's just another example of Urban's "win at all cost" mentality.

 

If they had an FBS opponent lined up for this week, no question that Meyer suspends him, but this is a big game and he won't. I think not doing so may help him in the short run, but in the long run, what kind of message is this sending to his team? Basically, that if you can get it done on the field and no one goes over his head, he's going to play you and stand by you.

 

Again, I think it's just a bad look for the university and even more ammo for Urban's critics at a time when their arsenal is basically full. If him kicking the bench and flipping off the crowd wasn't shown repeatedly all over cable, it'd be different, and maybe that's a double standard, but I think those actions embarrassed a lot of OSU fans and the kid should know better.

What about him? This thread is about the OSU coach saying he won't suspend any players. I'm glad he won't because that'll make it even better when they lose to Michigan State next week. If they happen to win that, they'll lose by 30 in the title game. I can't wait.

Lowery's case was still pending (and still is today). Once there's a disposition on the case, if he's proven guilty of the charges, there'd be a mandatory suspension of 10% of the football season. Lowery was a Junior this season and the process is still playing out in court. It will likely be when he returns home for a break before there's a disposition, but if he's proven guilty, then there's nothing Stoops can do, the University will suspend him.
