There is nothing but respect for Mercer from the stands tonight.

Hard to say? Mercer just was not a good matchup for Boyle. Will Catholic cruise….. my answer is no. The Titians are not the same team from their previous meeting. IMO Catholic is the better team, but the better teams do not always win. If Mercer can play defense like they have against Boyle they can beat Lexington Catholic.

Hard to say? Mercer just was not a good matchup for Boyle. Will Catholic cruise….. my answer is no. The Titians are not the same team from their previous meeting. IMO Catholic is the better team, but the better teams do not always win. If Mercer can play defense like they have against Boyle they can beat Lexington Catholic.

LexCath should cruise in this one though." Unless you are speaking in some kind of secret code your meaning is clear: You don't think Mercer County can give Lexington Catholic a game. You were not misquoted our taken out of context. The manning is clear...Guru just called you on it.

LC beat us 34-6 in the first meeting. It was Chris Crawley-Goodman's first start at QB and we fumbled the ball way too many times in that game. The rematch will be much different than the first game. I expect to see the Bluebirds in Harrodsburg the day after Thanksgiving. Our season will be over after that. We made great strides tonight and Pardue has electrified the program. A regional championship will be a stepping stone for the future.

The Lexington Catholic faithful were excited about Mercer's victory last night. But not because of the feeling that the Knight will "cruise through" next weeks game at all. It was knowing the team and fans get a home game that most had written off after the loss to Boyle County earlier this season.

 

Prep for next weeks game has already started this morning and there will be the usual Sunday practice tomorrow that is part of the post season rigor for the Knights. This time of year nothing is taken for granted. Last year the Knights were down to the Titans 16 to 14 going into the 4th quarter and there was a lot of nervousness in the stands before the Knight pulled it out with some big plays.

 

It will be great to be at home but no one is down playing the opponent in any manner. It will be a very tough game.

Would love to come to Harrodsburgh in two weeks...I need a different venue for a change...place and team....first thing is first beat CCH and then you have to do your part.
